In Uruguayans on the Road, we pick out three stand-out performances of Uruguayans playing abroad. This weekly series keeps you up-to-date on which Uruguayos are turning heads.

1. Diego Rolán

In France, Bordeaux booked a comfortable victory as they swept aside Montpellier 5-1. With two goals, Diego Rolán was the star man on the night. It has put his goal tally in the last two games up to three goals, which means Rolán will join up with his Uruguay teammates in great form.

2. Giorgian De Arrascaeta

22-year-old Giorgian De Arrascaeta has grown into one of the best players in Brazil and is showing his quality almost on a weekly basis. This week was no exception as the Defensor Sporting youth graduate was simply sensational for his club Cruzeiro. What a goal!

3. Nico López

Former Nacional player Nico López has been a key player for Internacional in 2017. At first, El Diente struggled with injury but he has fully recovered from it and has proven his worth for the club with important goals. One of those goals came on Saturday night when López’ goal sealed all three points for Inter. Matchwinner!
